Into Iceland’s farthest shores and deepest fjords.
The journey
This seven-day adventure explores the Westfjords region in a loop including the often-overlooked Strandir coast. Around Isafjordur you’ll discover dramatic fjords, historic fishing villages and endless hiking possibilities before travelling south through mountain passes to the iconic Dynjandi waterfall. Visit red-sand beaches and towering bird cliffs at Raudasandur and Latrabjarg, then step back in time in Dalir, rich in saga history. The journey continues into Strandir, one of Iceland’s most isolated regions, known for desert fjords, folklore and raw coastal beauty. Scenic drives, wildlife encounters and deep solitude define this truly off-the-beaten-path Icelandic experience.
