Experience Iceland at its wildest on an adventurous journey across the country’s remote highlands. Explore the volcanic landscapes of Reykjanes, hike among the colourful mountains of Landmannalaugar and discover the lush glacial valley of Thorsmork. Cross the vast wilderness of Sprengisandur, then delve into the volcanic landscapes around Lake Myvatn and the spectacular Askja caldera. Continue north through the scenic landscapes around Akureyri and North Iceland before crossing the remote Kjolur route, with its wide mountain deserts and geothermal springs. Finish among the classic sights of the Golden Circle, from Thingvellir and Strokkur geyser to magnificent Gullfoss waterfall, before returning to Reykjavik.
